Mhairi Downie

“I love being a teacher! I get to have fun in the classroom and it’s really satisfying to know that I’m helping people at the same time. I particularly love teaching children as they have so much energy and enthusiasm and just soak up everything you teach them.”

Before moving to Burma she taught English at the British Council in Cairo, Egypt for two and a half years. She has certificate level qualifications in teaching English to adults and children (CELTA/CELTYL).
