Role overview

We are looking for a Programme Officer to be based in Yangon. As a Programme Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the programme including a specific focus on communications activities in compliance with British Council and EU policies and requirements. You will work with the range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that activities are managed in a way that maximises value for money, EU satisfaction, and compliance with British Council internal policy and EU contract requirements.

With this opportunity, you will work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, develop technical knowledge in supporting communications activities as well as learn more about the programme’s approach to Access to Justice.

To be considered a successful candidate, you must bring along proven experience of operating successfully in large development / society/justice based project, working in a matrix situation with multiple stakeholders and deadlines and managing social media platforms. Candidates with experience in supporting communication campaigns across sectors, products and services will be preferred. Excellent communication skills in English and Burmese languages and a University Degree are essential.
