Role overview
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Teacher to lead our on the quality delivery and development of our professional development and training programmes for both Adult and YL teaching / product offer across our teaching centres in Yangon, Myanmar. Teaching in British Council Yangon is in an exciting phase of expansion, and the post offers excellent developmental opportunities and the chance to work in a friendly, professionalised team, including Academic (5 x specialist coordinators, 3 x senior teachers), marketing, ops, sales and customer management.
Yangon is a fascinating, safe, tropical city which, although quickly developing, continues to retain its charm. There are a good range of housing options, and quickly growing restaurant scene and nightlife. Shopping options are becoming more flexible and international. Travel in Myanmar is some of the best in the region offering the foot Himalayas in the north, tropical rainforests, and luscious sandy beaches in the west and south.
To be considered, you should be a highly proficient user of English with an undergraduate degree. You should also have
-an internationally recognised Cambridge CELTA and DELTA/Trinity Diploma
-a minimum of 3-4 years full-time relevant post-certificate teaching
-experience of managing teacher training
