As Sales and Customer Management Assistant, you will be responsible to deliver a high quality, welcoming and efficient integrated customer service experience for all new and existing students of the British Council and proactively participate in a high-performing result-orientated Customer Management team for the smooth running of operation.

Role overview
Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
1. Delivery of front of house services
- Provide face-to-face consultations to all customers in the centre by finding out their needs, issues and concerns in a warm, friendly and professional manner
- Pass on the enquiries that need further consultations or advice to the relevant departments
- Give directional information to visitors on request.
- Take messages from visitors and send them to the related staff using appropriate communications channels
- Deliver exams timetable slip, results and certificates to customers
- Ensure that marketing and PR collateral is properly displayed and well stocked
- Monitor equipment and furniture in FOH area to ensure in good working condition
2. Administrative support
- Work closely with Customer Management Consultants to ensure the surveys are conducted meeting Council KPIs by looking into the whole customer journey and all integrated services.
- Assist with the day to day back-office administration related to customer services as required including follow up on customer complaint(s) as per policy, collection and dissemination of customer data, up-dating of hard copy records and spreadsheet.
- Contact to all new and existing customers to relay information regarding events and activities, for example re-registration, newsletters, other event dates and venues, surveys, opening and/or closing to current and/or waitlisted students.
- Ensure information and announcements on notice boards are accurate, up-to-date and well displayed
- Ensure the front of house environment is pleasant, British Council branded and meets customer expectations.
Other Responsibilities and Main Duties:
As part of the wider Sales and Customer Services team serving both new and existing customers, it is required to support and assist the colleagues from time to time in tasks that ensure the smooth running of the Centre. This might include registering students (exclusive accepting payment and daily reconciliation), participation at workshops, parent events etc. and other ad hoc duties assigned by line manager.
The successful candidate will work a five-day week on a shift system from Monday to Sunday. Evening and weekend working is required on a regular basis.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
- 1-year experience in Customer Services
- Experience of working with children (desirable)
- Experience of working at front line (desirable)
Role specific skills
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications (MS Word, Microsoft Excel)
