Devanandan Palmer Batumalai (fondly known as Devan), is a distinguished leader with extensive experience in banking, technology, and FMCG industries across Asia since 2009. Joining KBZ Bank in 2017, he has held key roles including Head of Learning & Talent, Digital Professional Services, and Branch Operations & Service Support. Now, as Managing Director, Devan has driven initiatives in Cash Management, Marketing Communications, Digital Services, and HR, benefiting thousands of employees.
Joel Harding is the FCDO Development Director at the British Embassy Yangon. He has served with the FCDO/ DFID since 2013 with postings in South Africa, Bangladesh, (Senior Governance Adviser) Thailand (Deputy Ambassador) and Eritrea (Head of Mission), and prior to that spent 15 years working for the UN and NGOs in Africa and Asia. He has a BA degree in Social Anthropology and Thai Language from SOAS, University of London and an LLM in International Law from the University of Essex.
Passionate about transforming education, Khin co-founded STI Myanmar University to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world skills. With a strong focus on innovation, global collaboration, and student empowerment, she has played a key role in building strategic partnerships, including with the University of Bedfordshire (UK), and developing industry-aligned accredited programs in business, computer science, engineering, and health sciences.
Lynn is an accomplished businesswoman, skilled training facilitator, mentor, and active social contributor. With over 25 years in marketing and entrepreneurship, she holds deep expertise in strategy, communication, and management. She serves as the Director of Mango Advertising and is the Co-Founder of Mango Group Myanmar, a leading marketing communication firm in Myanmar. Also a member of the Myanmar Business Executives Association (MBE) and the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN).
Peter, a Bristol University graduate and ICAEW Chartered Accountant (1981), began his career at PwC London before spending over 20 years with Jardine Matheson in senior finance and management roles across Asia and the Middle East. He led major acquisitions and joint ventures in emerging markets. Transitioning to consultancy, he became the first non-family MD of Al Fahim Group (2005) and later a partner at HBG Private Equity (2008). In 2012, he expanded ICAEW’s Middle East operations.
Win Ma Ma Aye, Country Director, joined Turquoise Mountain in Myanmar in 2022. She has a Master’s Degree in International Public Policy from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), the Johns Hopkins University. Prior to Turquoise Mountain, Win was Head of Child Protection with Save the Children in Myanmar, Director of Programme Implementation with Save the Children in Sri Lanka, and Head of Operations at Allen & Overy Myanmar, a prestigious UK law firm.
