The British Council is proud to conduct a unique session for aspiring students on writing an impactful Statement of Purpose (SOP) for university applications. This is a personal statement which is crucial when applying for higher education. It needs to be written by students who want to take admission to courses at international universities. The main aim of the SOP is to introduce yourself, your academic background, career goals, and qualities that make you a meritorious candidate for the selected course. Writing an SOP can be a daunting experience as it’s the one statement that sets you apart from the rest. Conducted by our expert from the UK, Shonagh Maak, this online interactive session, will show students how to shine in a personal statement and take them through the first steps and top tips of drafting their own personal statement.
Date and time: This is an online session which will be conducted on 24 November from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom. Links will be sent to registered participants 24 hours before the start of the session. This session is for audience 16 years and above.
Library members can register for FREE. For non-members, registration fees is 15,000 MMK. (For more information, please contact library.enquiries@mm.britishcouncil.org or call 09777001830, 09777001825, 09765483877)
