Story Garden for children aged 5 to 12!
A reading challenge for children aged 5 to 12 will be held at the British Council Library in Yangon from May 26, 2026 to July 28, 2026.
First Stage:
Participants must select books from the Story Garden display at the Children’s Corner and read at least 6 books at the library.
(Note: Books for the competition cannot be borrowed to take home. They must be read and completed at the library during the competition period.)
Second Stage:
From the books they have read, participants must choose one favorite:
- Either write a short book review, or
- Take part in the drawing competition by illustrating their favorite character from the book.
After the competition, a prize-giving ceremony will be held for all participants.
At the ceremony:
- Children who complete reading 6 books will receive a Story Garden Medal and a Certificate.
- Winners of the Book Review and Drawing Competition will also receive exciting prizes.
This program not only helps children build a reading habit but also includes fun activities they’ll enjoy. Therefore, children aged 5 to 12 are warmly invited to participate. Those interested can register at the British Council Library.
