Studying abroad, away from home, is never easy at first! There are three things which you will need if you are contemplating to start an academic life overseas; an open mind, strong will and good language skills. You will get your chance to meet students from different cultural backgrounds. Based on my personal experience, I didn't learn much from studying on my own but most of the time I learned through discussion and working together with different people on assignments and group projects. Coping with stress and striking a balance in professional and social life is also important. Finally, be well prepared with your language skills. It really helps you to better communicate with people, understand the lectures, get involved in group discussions, do presentations confidently and even getting good grades depends on it.
