Cambridge Assessment International Education CAIE exams updates (NEW)

Cambridge May/June 2022 series schools exams have been cancelled.

Our priority is to keep students safe and enable them to progress with their education. In view of the security and pandemic situation, exams are cancelled for all Cambridge general qualifications for the May/June 2022 series – that is, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level - across Myanmar. Instead, students can obtain results and certificates from Cambridge International based on a Portfolio of Evidence, which will be marked and graded by Cambridge examiners.

For private candidates:

Cambridge International and British Council have worked closely to facilitate a Portfolio of Evidence route for as many private candidates as possible this June series. We will facilitate the Portfolio of Evidence by conducting Live Supervised Assessment Sessions at a British Council approved venue in person in Covid-safe way and in line with our local guidelines.

All normal exam rules will be applied for all the Live Supervised Assessment Sessions. The Portfolio of Evidence will be marked by Cambridge International directly. Students are advised to continue preparing for Portfolio of Evidence as they would prepare for normal Cambridge International exams.

The Live Supervised Assessment Sessions will be conducted from 2 to 18 May 2022. We appreciate that you will have questions but please bear with us – we will provide details of the Live Supervised Assessment Sessions schedule and exam venue soon.

Students who have decided to take the option of Live Supervised Assessments will be able to request for refunds by 1st of April. To request for refunds please contact customer service at 09 777001365 or email: enquiries@mm.britishcouncil.org.  We are afraid, there is no other options available at the moment.

We will also be conducting a clarification session should the candidates needs further clarifications. Please follow our website, British Council Facebook page for dates and registration information for the session.
