Individual registrations
STEP 1 - Register online
- You can register online for a Cambridge English Qualifications in 2 cities (Yangon and Mandalay) across Myanmar. Make sure you choose the correct place (town),exam date, exam format (Paper Based and Computer Based/Digital) in the online registration page and read the Terms and Conditions before you continue with the registration process.
- We conduct Cambridge English Qualifications - Paper Based tests in both Yangon and Mandalay while Cambridge English Qualifications - Digital in Yangon ONLY.
- Select your preferred exam, location, exam format and date from the table below.
- Please note: Exams will not appear here after the registration deadline has passed or if tests are already full.
- New ID Policy Changes : Candidates aged 18 years & above MUST provide one of the IDs: NRC, Passport, or Driving License, in accordance with the updated ID policy from Cambridge English. [School, College, or University IDs will NO LONGER ACCEPTED. Please confirm this before proceeding with your registrations.]
- Exam registrations period and exams dates can be checked below in 'Exam Dates' Table.
- Once candidate has completed the registration, candidate will receive immediately "Acknowledgement of registration completion" email along with payment guideline.
- After registration fee has been received, candidates will receive registration confirmation email within 3 working days.

Step 2 - Make payment
For individual test takers, from 7th Jan 2026 onward, British Council will no longer accept bank transfers or POS payments for Cambridge exams. From this date, payment must be made online in USD only.
Individual test takers please note:
1) Payment MUST be made at the point of online booking using a valid credit or debit card that supports international transactions (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, JCB, or any other card accepted for online payments globally).
2) These transactions are subject to the exchange rate and transaction fees imposed by your credit/debit card provider bank.
3) The British Council cannot accept payments from banks or financial institutions sanctioned by the UK or other relevant jurisdictions.
Importance Notice to Advantage Centres
For Advantage Centres, you can continue to follow the current registration and payment process. Exam fees can be paid in MMK, but we will gradually enable online payment for partner schools soon. Payment can be made by AYA bank transfer, AYA internet banking, AYA mobile banking, AYA Pay App or by using bank cards at British Council Yangon Kanna Street office during the registration period.
Step 3 - Payment confirmation
- Registration is only valid after British Council receives your payment.
- Pay the required exam fee no later than five days after registering for the test, where the first day is the day of registration. You will get an automatic email confirmation afterwards.
Step 4 - Check the timetable
Normally, the detailed exam timetable will be issued one working week before the exam date. If you don't receive a timetable slip one week before the test, please contact via email enquiries@mm.britishcouncil.org or +959940070099 within office hours (9:00 am-4:00 pm).
