second conditional ကို နေရာတိုင်းရှိ အိပ်မက်ရှိ သူများက နှစ်သက်ကြသည်။ ဘာကြောင့်လဲ။ ဘာကြောင့်လဲ ဆိုတော့ second conditional က စိတ်ကူးယဉ် အခြေအနေတွေကို ရည်ညွှန်းလို့ပါ။ ဥပမာအားဖြင့်၊ If I had a million dollars, I’d buy a mansion. (ငါ့မှာ ဒေါ်လာတစ်သန်းရှိရင် အိမ်တစ်လုံးဝယ်မယ်။) ဒီတော့ ဒီလက်တွေ့ကျတဲ့ Second Conditional ရဲ့ လမ်းညွှန်နဲ့ 'If' ရဲ့ လုပ်ဆောင်နိုင်စွမ်းကို ကြည့်ကြည့်ကြရအောင်။
သတိပေးချက်အနေဖြင့်၊ first conditional သည် ဖြစ်နိုင်ချေများနှင့် အနာဂတ်တွင် ဖြစ်နိုင်သည့် အရာများ အကြောင်း ပြောဆိုရန် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အသုံးပြုသည့် အင်္ဂလိပ် သဒ္ဒါဖွဲ့စည်းပုံ တစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။
အင်္ဂလိပ် first conditional တည်ဆောက်ပုံ-

အင်္ဂလိပ် Second Conditional တည်ဆောက်ပုံ–
If + past simple, would + base verb
ဥပမာအားဖြင့်၊
- If she were taller, she would play basketball. (သူမက အရပ် ပိုရှည်မယ်ဆိုရင်၊ ဘတ်စကက်ဘော ကစားမှာပေါ့။)
- If I knew the answer, I would tell you. (အဖြေကို ကျွန်တော်သိတယ်ဆိုရင်၊ ပြောပြပါမယ်။)
ရိုးရှင်းတဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ် သဒ္ဒါ အကြံပြုချက်–
First conditional = အမှန်တကယ်နဲ့ ဖြစ်နိုင်ချေ ရှိတယ်။
Second conditional = စိတ်ကူးယဉ် သို့မဟုတ် ဖြစ်နိုင်ချေ မရှိပါ။ ရလဒ်မှာ မသေချာ မရေရာပါ။

အနာဂတ်ရှိ ရလဒ်တစ်ခုနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ သေချာပေါက် ဖော်ပြရန် second conditional ကိုလည်း အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါသည်။ ဤဝါကျ နှစ်ကြောင်းကို ကြည့်ပါ-
First Conditional- If I get that job, I'll move to Toronto.
Second Conditional- If I got that job, I'd move to Toronto.
ဝါကျ နှစ်မျိုးလုံးက အလားတူ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိကြောင်း ဖော်ပြသည်။ သို့သော် စာကြောင်း တစ်ကြောင်းတွင် စကားပြောသူသည် အလုပ်ရရန် ပို၍ ယုံကြည်မှုရှိသည်။ ဒုတိယဝါကျတွင်၊ သူတို့သည် မသေချာနေဘူး.… သူတို့သည် လျှောက်ထားခြင်းတောင် မရှိတာများလား။ သူတို့ကို ခရီး သွားခွင့်ပေးတဲ့ အလုပ်တစ်ခု ရဖို့ စိတ်ကူးယဉ်နေတာ ဖြစ်နိုင်မလား။

Second Conditional ကို အသုံးပြုရာတွင် ဖြစ်လေ့ရှိတဲ့ အမှားများ
ဖြစ်လေ့ရှိတဲ့ အမှားတစ်ခုမှာ စည်းမျဉ်း နှစ်ခုကြားတွင် ရှုပ်ထွေးပြီး၊ မှားယွင်းသော အင်္ဂလိပ် tense များကို အသုံးပြုခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။
